We are looking for you who desire inspiring work as the manager of one of our two meal service units.

What can we offer you?

The Service Sector is responsible for property management and operations, meal services, cleaning services, transport services, vehicle coordination, sports and facilities, as well as renovation and new construction projects.

The Meal Service is responsible for cooking for schools, preschools, as well as care homes and nursing homes.

The operations include 11 production kitchens and 10 reception kitchens, located both in and outside the urban area.

Approximately 3,800 portions are produced daily.

The work is based on the regional food strategy and a meal policy focusing on reducing food waste as well as Swedish, local, and organic ingredients.

You will report to the Sector Manager and be part of the sector's leadership group. You will also work closely with your colleague manager within the Meal Service.

Your future responsibilities

As the Meal Manager, you lead and distribute the work for approximately 30 employees located throughout the municipality. You support and develop your employees to create motivation and engagement, and you actively work with occupational health and safety issues and rehabilitation. Conducting workplace meetings and collaboration meetings is included, and you are also responsible for target follow-up as well as economy and scheduling matters.

You have direct contact with the responsible unit managers for housing, schools, and preschools, and you develop the operations together with them.

Who are you?

To thrive in the role, you have relevant education, such as a dietitian, nutritionist, or a degree in food and meal science, or alternatively other education or experience assessed as equivalent by the employer.

You have extensive experience from leadership positions within service operations with responsibility for personnel, operations, and economy, preferably within municipal meal services or a similar area. You are accustomed to driving structured improvement work with clear results.

As a leader, you are clear, communicative, and collaboration-oriented. You express yourself comfortably in Swedish, both orally and in writing, make confident decisions, and follow through with perseverance. With a genuine interest in people, you combine a development focus with a stewardship leadership style that creates stability and longevity. You are also comfortable in digital environments and have a good understanding of politically governed organizations.

Knowledge of economy and diet data systems is meritorious.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A Class B driver's license is required.
